Project Description
Environmental Impact Assessment and comprehensive fauna and flora surveys were conducted for the significant site expansion of the Puy du Fou Historical Theme Park in Toledo, designed to accommodate up to 2 million visitors annually. The project included the development and monitoring of a Biodiversity Management Plan to ensure sustainable construction and operation.
Key deliverables included:
- Environmental Impact Assessment to evaluate and mitigate potential environmental impacts of the project.
- Fauna and Flora Surveys to identify and assess species and habitats potentially affected by the development.
- Drafting of the Environmental Management Plan and Environmental Monitoring Plan for the urbanization and building works of Phases of the theme park.
- Preparation of the project’s Biodiversity Action Plan to align with conservation objectives.
- Implementation of the Environmental Monitoring Plan during both the construction and operational phases.
The project, with a budget exceeding €250,000 and involving up to 500 workers at its peak, underscores a commitment to integrating environmental stewardship into large-scale urban and entertainment developments.
