Project Description

An exhaustive review of the state of the art regarding the impact of drone use on avifauna was conducted, analyzing relevant bibliographies, guidelines, and scientific articles. This analysis identified the project’s needs and proposed additional field studies to complement the information obtained. These studies were carried out on the island of Lanzarote in September 2024. The collected data were compiled into a report containing results and conclusions to guide the next steps.

Within the framework of the project, progress was made in drafting regulatory guidelines and action protocols, as well as participating in training sessions aimed at both government administrations and drone (UAV) users. These activities ensured a comprehensive approach to regulating drone use and minimizing its impact on avifauna, contributing to awareness-raising and capacity-building among stakeholders.
