Biodiversity Node has participated in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Eagles of the Palearctic: Study and Conservation’ and in the II International Workshop ‘Raptors and Energy Infrastructure’ in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Biodiversity Node, S.L. was invited to present a paper on the impact of wind farms on birds and bats, as well as how to approach planning, baseline studies, mitigation measures and monitoring of these projects. It was a pleasure to be able to share experiences in renewable energy development and raptor conservation and monitoring with so many colleagues and specialists in the field. There is great potential for renewable energy development in Eastern Europe and this large area of Central Asia, so the conference was of great interest and very timely.
Please find attached the proceedings of the conference, which will be published in Raptors Conservation supplement 2 in 2023, including a summary of our presentation (pag. 434; https://lnkd.in/dwZGb5hj)
